We didn't start Nearly Tame to sell t-shirts. We started it because nothing existed for us — the reef keepers, the reptile obsessives, the parrot people, the ones with a second mortgage on their enclosure. The exotic pet community is one of the most passionate, knowledgeable, and quietly unhinged groups of people on earth. We think that deserves to be worn.

Nearly Tame is a niche apparel brand built from inside the hobby — not designed for it from the outside. Every design starts with a real moment. The Aiptasia that appeared from nowhere and took over the tank in a matter of weeks. The mystery wrasse that cleared $249.99 off your credit card and then made a suicide jump out of the tank at at 2am. The frag dealer at the swap who has those smoking hot deals on his corals while your wallet quietly catches fire in a panic.

If you've lived it, you'll get it. If you haven't, that's the point.

Our shirts are printed on premium blanks because keepers who spare no expense on their baby's shouldn't have to wear a $9 screen-print that cracks after three washes. Quality isn't a talking point for us — it's a baseline. You spend enough on this hobby. The shirt should be the one thing that holds up.

We're starting small. Our focus is to build over time to keep adding value at a steady pace. More drops are coming for every corner of the exotic pet world. Reptiles. Amphibians. Birds. The furry friend's (we know cat's and dogs already get a lot of love so we are not focusing on them). If you keep it, and it is exotic, we'll work on making something for it.
